Katherine Stodulka

Director of Sustainable Finance, SYSTEMIQ; Director of the Blended Finance Taskforce

Katherine is also the Director of the Blended Finance Taskforce which she launched in 2017 to help mobilise public and private capital for a net-zero, nature-positive and more inclusive economy.  Katherine is one of the lead authors of “Better Finance, Better World”, “Infra 3.0”, “Blended Finance for Clean Energy” and “Better Finance, Better Food”.

Katherine helps structure and scale blended finance vehicles (including the $1bn DYNAMIQ renewables fund for South East Asia, the $3bn “SDG Indonesia One” platform for low-carbon infrastructure in Indonesia and the $500m “Global Fund for Coral Reefs”) and is working on flagship transition finance transactions to accelerate just energy transitions in coal-dependent countries.  

She is an Advisory Board Member to the “Responsible Consumer Fund” which invests in listed companies that champion a sustainable approach to production and consumption and is a Fellow of Studio 8 FOLD which specialises in sustainable architecture and design. 

Katherine works closely with the City of London’s “Green Finance Institute” and the “Make My Money Matter” campaign for net-zero and deforestation-free pension funds. Katherine also co-founded the “Tri Hita Karana Forum for Sustainable Development”, which launched the inaugural transaction for the “Sustainable Commodities Conservation Mechanism” to restore deforested ecosystems in South East Asia and is an advisor to Indonesia’s Council on “Natural Capital, Carbon and Communities”. 

Before joining SYSTEMIQ, Katherine was a lawyer in Australia and the UK specialising in M&A and project finance for energy assets and other major infrastructure. She graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland.  Katherine worked pro bono for the Refugee Civil Law Clinic and Climate Policy Watch to support Small Island Developing Nations at COP21.
